The country has a long list of fairs and festivals that are celebrated throughout all the municipalities of the country. Some of the festivities in Colombia have more than a century of tradition, which makes them a tourist attraction. So that you can enjoy the authentic flavor of the country, I recommend the following events in Colombia. The Independence Fair    In November, the Independence Fair is held in Bolívar, in which the National Beauty Contest of Colombia takes place. On the Caribbean coast the culture is very happy, the typical music is: Cumbia, vallenato and champeta  a typical clothing is the boltiao hat Its representative food is fried fish, coconut rice, patacon and agua de panela. One of its most representative celebrations worldwide is the carnival which lasts 4 consecutive days. People dress up in parades and dances at home.
